Ability: Impact on José Rizal

José Rizal was deeply moved by the execution. His older brother, Paciano Rizal, was a supporter of Burgos and influenced José’s nationalist ideals. Rizal dedicated his novel El Filibusterismo to GOMBURZA, honoring their sacrifice. Their deaths ignited Filipino nationalism, paving the way for future revolts against Spanish rule, including the Philippine Revolution (1896–1898).
