Ability: Gotta snatch em' all
Like a praying mantis, water scorpions use their front limbs to reach out and grasp small animals. These insects mostly feed on Daphnia, shrimp, fish fry, tadpoles and water boatmen.
Ability: Reverse snorkel
These insects are exclusively aquatic, with only a superficial resemblance to true scorpions. The "tail" of a water scorpion does not sting but is used to draw down air from above the water's surface while it hunts.

Water scorpions typically mate in April and May. To attract a female, a male will perform stridulation. He will create a chirping sound when he rubs his legs against his body, similar to crickets rubbing their wings together.
