Ability: Fisherman
The diamondback water snake hangs on branches suspended over the water, dipping their head under the surface until they encounter a fish or other prey item.
Ability: Threat display
If cornered, these snakes will often flatten their bodies and heads to appear larger while hissing. This behavior means they often are confused for Cottonmouths (Agkistrodon piscivorous), which are venomous.
