Henry Vll ruled England from 1509 too 1547. He had no son to follow him. Had fallen in love with Anne Boleyn. Wanted to divorce but Catholic Church would not allow it. Ended his marriage with Catherine with the help of the highest church official and married to Anne Boleyn . excommunicated from the pope. Henry fought back and became king. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧.
